Not to be confused with the Leicester City footballer of the same name, Matt Elliott has been receiving much respect from critics firstly with the experimental, guitar-effects fixated Flying Saucer Attack and now with his current project Third Eye Foundation. Many of the artists featured on this remix project will be unfamiliar to most with the possible exception of Germany's Tarwater whose 'To Describe You' is probably the most satisfying thing here. That's not to say there aren't other fine moments on offer as Elliott has skilfully remixed all the artists to make the listener believe they are original tracks by just one individual artist, with each track offering a cool, queasily hypnotic quality. The music ranges between both slow and fast drum and bass (Urchin's 'Snuffed Candles' and Faultline's 'Mute' respectively) and the eerie beauty of Glanta's 'When I Dance' and Blonde Redhead's 'Four Damaged Lemons'). Unusually understated for a remixed release, 'I Poo Poo On Your Juju' is compelling listening.
