Formed from the unlikely worlds of goth, electronica and prog rock, 120 Days should surely be approached with a great degree of caution. 'Come Out..' sounds like a Scandinavian Six.By Seven thanks to the strangulated vocals and digitised paranoia. It's a pattern which runs throughout the course of the record. 'C-Musik' is terrific; it's hard not to to be taken in by the relentless intensity of this hypnotic music and 'Lazy Eyes' rides over a baroque synth swirl that sounds out of time but nonetheless captivating. Meanwhile, 'Sleepwalking', the closest we get to electro-pop, is another winner whilst 'Keep On Smiling' manages to maintain a tuneful positive chorus amongst the metronomic beats. The only difficulty arises on the final song; the overlong 'I've Lost My Vision'. Norway has a habit for producing new talent in a variety of genres; 120 Days can now be added to that list.
