A former video maker and VJ, Joëlle Phuong Minh Lê decided to take a chance at producing her own music under her Greetings From Tuskan moniker. This experiment has yielded fascinating results. One of the most striking points - without even listening to the record - is that so many of these track names seem inspired by love; a rare thing for a record based predominantly around electronic music. As it happens, it is the personal touch which steers 'Lullabies For The Warriors' above the average territory. 'This Half Is Mine' is the archetypal sinister love song whilst 'Always I Will Love You. Always You' seems to be conveying a very involving sense of despair. Infact, throughout it's a darkly-hued affair but the over-reliance by Minh Lê on digitising her own vocals means that the emotion she has invested in the recordings doesn't always translate.
