Following in the slipstream of Air Formation, welcome to Televise; the latest act to put a release out on the Club AC30 label. As if to reinforce the idea that they are a shoegazing outfit, their founding member is ex-Slowdive man Simon Scott. 'Outside Out' is probably the most commercially viable single ever to come from a Slowdive veteran; dressed up in My Bloody Valentine guitars it may be but it's a catchy little number helped in no small part by Scott's own positive, youthful-sounding vocals. 'Let Me Go Down' is more in the spaced-out Spiritualized vein but 'If I Told You' returns to a warmer and sunnier melody with more than a hint of Puressence about it. This is an excellent three-track EP which has the potential to cross over to a larger, less genre-specific audience.
